Support services group increases interim profit to £13.6m following purchase of consultant Hornagold & Hills

Support services group Mouchel Parkman has reported a 17% profit rise for the first half of the financial year.

The company reported pre-tax profit of £13.6m for the six months to 31 January 2007, compared with £11.6m in the corresponding period last year. Turnover rose to £206.4m from £175.1m

The company, which acquired consultant Hornagold & Hills last November, is currently working on schemes including a six-year highways maintenance contract for Transport for London.

Richard Cuthbert, chief executive, said: “Our continuing strong financial position puts us in a good position to further develop the group, as we pursue large bundled service contacts. As a result, we continue to be confident about the group’s future prospects.”
