Extended contract means Rok now handles half of Tesco’s claims work

Building services contractor Rok has won a contract with Tesco and insurer Aegas Insurance to provide building repairs for Tesco’s home insurance customers.

As well as repairs, Rok will also provide claims management and certify whether claims are valid.

The news expands an existing relationship under which Rok has been working with Tesco and Aegas since 2007. It will now handle half of all of Tesco’s claims work.

Rok did not give a value on the contract.

Garvis Snook, chief executive at Rok, said: “We are delighted to be expanding the relationship by handling 50% of all Tesco Underwriting’s building repair claims.  Rok’s appointment to this contract reflects the quality of work from our directly employed technicians and our investment in an ever improving service for policyholders.”
