A red-orange rubber floor from Artigo has been fitted at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Modern Wing, designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop

The 2,300m2 floor was specified in part because of Artigo’s ability to match the custom colour required by the architects. It is claimed the Multifloor product, laid in a thickness of 3mm, is durable, requires little maintenance and provides good acoustic insulation.

It also meets the California Indoor Air Quality Programme requirements for volatile organic compound emissions and provides a surface

which reduces maintenance.
