Shortlisted parties for Campbell Park masterplan include Alfred McAlpine Capital Projects, The Berkley Group and Frontier Estates, and George Wimpey and Parkridge Developments.

Seven developers have been given 10 weeks to submit detailed designs to the Milton Keynes Partnership (MKP) for phase two of the city’s Campbell Park masterplan.

Work on the site, next to the Grand Union Canal, will see a new mixed-use scheme including a marina with up to 100 berths, a four-star hotel, apartments, offices and retail space.

The shortlisted parties include Alfred McAlpine Capital Projects, The Berkley Group & Frontier Estates and George Wimpey & Parkridge Developments.

MKP chairman Sir Bob Reid said: “Central Milton Keynes will transform in the years ahead.”

Completing the shortlist are Bouwfounds Property Development, the Grainger Trust, ING Real Estate & The Burrell Company and Persimmon & Hampton Brook.

Overall the Campbell Park masterplan will see over 2000 new homes in Milton Keynes.
