The S$160m Singapore Flyer project is currently the world's largest Giant Observation Wheel (GOW) completed in February 2008, with a diameter of 150m and 28 capsules each holding up to 28 passengers.The Singapore Flyer also consists of 4,300 m2 retail and food & beverage space, landscape greenery and water features, as well as car park facilities provided on an adjacent building.The construction contract is a turnkey EPC contract based on a design and build and contractor-financing arrangement.
Rider Levett Bucknall Singapore were appointed as the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator for the project. Rider Levett Bucknall were among the first consultants to be appointed for this project. Our involvement was from its preliminary concept stage in 2004 and our services cover project management, contract administration, cost planning, procurement and project delivery.
