Solar shading from Renson has been used on this new service centre in Almere, Holland. Designed by Qua Associates and Inbo Architects the building features more than 1,200m2 of glazed curtain walling. To control solar gains the firm’s Fixscreen system was specified which the company claims is wind-resistant, thanks to its “zip” fixing system which holds it in position, as well as being insect proof.

The screens were supplied in 4m high by 3.6m wide sections and mounted into the soffit at first floor and roof level.
