Civil engineering workers on Heathrow terminal to vote on revised Laing O'Rourke offer of £800 in back pay and an extra 80p an hour.

900 civil engineering workers on Heathrow Terminal 5 will hold a site ballot tomorrow on Laing O'Rourke's latest pay offer.

The workers, who have recently held a series of strikes over bonuses, will vote on a revised offer of £800 in back pay and an extra 80p an hour. Union officials are understood to have recommended the deal.

The 928 workers will cast votes in a site ballot tomorrow morning. The workers had originally called for a £1/hour bonus to match increases awarded to electricians and steelworkers last year.
