Social housing contractor Durkan has won a £10m contract to design and build a regeneration scheme on behalf of Tower Homes and the London Development Agency.
Greengate House in Plaistow, east London, is scheduled for completion by the end of next year. It includes 64 apartments designed by Levitt Bernstein. The homes will have green roofs and will be grouped around a central courtyard. A grade II-listed former YMCA building has been redeveloped as part of the job.
