Three directors of Kent-based construction companies have been banned from holding company directorships for up to 10 years after a court judged them unfit.
Avtar Singh Ghag from Wolverhampton and Harjit Singh Nijjer from Gravesend, Kent, were both disqualified for 10 years in the High Court on 9 October.

Both were directors of labour-supply company Corstone Construction, based in Gravesend, which was wound up in March 1999 owing £1.2m in income tax, National Insurance and VAT payments.

Barrie John Stevens of Sittingbourne, Kent, was banned for five years after Dartford-based Stirling Construction Engineering and four associated companies collapsed with debts of £600 000. The case was heard at Bournemouth County Court on 18 October.
