Bermello Ajamil & Partners-designed library to contain giant gold statue of US president and a recreation of Air Force One

Donald Trump has published the first visuals of his plans for a library and museum tower in Miami designed by US practice Bermello Ajamil.

A video posted on the US president’s Truth Social platform showed exterior and interior shots of the 47-storey skyscraper, including an image of an Air Force One airplane within a vast ground-floor exhibition space.

Eric Trump, the president’s son, said the building would “stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known”.

The tower features Trump’s trademark gold-lettered branding on its crown, a monumental entrance clad in gold-coloured panels and an auditorium space with a giant gold statue of Trump with its fist in the air.

The clip also showed a glitzy black-tie event taking place in an expansive large landscaped garden on the building’s roof and what appeared to be displays of the Oval Office and new presidential ballroom, which Trump is currently building at the White House.

The scheme’s unveiling comes six months after Florida law-makers voted to transfer land in midtown Miami, which was valued at around $67m, to Trump’s presidential library foundation for the scheme.

Miami-based Bermello Ajamil & Partners is a multidisciplinary practice which specialises in maritime, aviation, health care, commercial, and municipal markets, and employs around 160 people, according to the firm’s website.

The practice mostly works within Florida with the firm’s major projects in the state including the 70-storey Four Seasons Hotel and Tower and a cruise terminal, both located in Miami.

Meanwhile, Florida governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill renaming Palm Beach International Airport as President Donald J Trump International Airport, which would be effective from 1 July if the move is approved by the Federal Aviation Agency.
