Cooper Lighting and Safety has launched a LED downlighter that has been designed to directly replace halogen downlighters.

The company said the DL 11 downlighter used 70% less energy than a halogen downlighter and had a life of 50,000 hours reducing maintenance costs. The down light has an efficiency of 50lumens/watt and can be specified in a choice of warm white, natural white or cool white colour temperatures. The DL 11 features a die cast aluminium body available in a choice of white or grey and can be supplied as a fixed output or dimming version.
