National agency English Partnerships and regeneration company Liverpool Vision have unveiled plans to transform Lime Street Station in Liverpool to create a gateway to the city for visitors.

The project, to be completed in time for European Capital of Culture celebrations in 2008, will include a public space and a landmark tall building. The tower will incorporate sustainable design features, including natural ventilation and energy-efficient materials.
