London architect KSS's £30m plans for redeveloping Brighton's derelict West Pier were unveiled this week.
The scheme includes shops, restaurants and bars along the shoreline near the pier. KSS will seek planning permission for the whole project by the end of the summer. Brighton and Hove council has already given the go-ahead to restoration of the pier, and structural engineer Halcrow is handling its renovation. The rest of the project team has yet to be chosen.
