Rubble and masonry spilled on to a Westminster street on Monday as a five-storey business centre collapsed.

Passers-by fled, fearing a terrorist attack and a builder was trapped in the building for almost 10 hours. He was later freed with minor injuries. Police said it was a “stroke of good fortune” that nobody was seriously hurt.
