Acquisition of Malachi Cullen and Partners will allow White Young Green to move into the Irish Midlands

White Young Green has acquired Irish consultancy Malachi Cullen & Partners for €1.6m (£1.05m). MCP is a structural engineering consultancy working in the Irish Midlands.

Pre-tax profit was €220,012 (£144,061) on a revenue of €1,627,511 (£1,065,853) for the year ended 31 March 2006.

All the MCP directors have joined WYG Group. The firm currently employs 19 staff in Athlone.

WYG’s chief executive John Purvis said the acquisition would allow WYG to move into the Midlands region of Ireland.

Commenting on the takeover, he said: “WYG will seek to enhance the range of services available to MCP's clients, enabling them to engage much more strategically in the future.”
