International Women’s Day has become a focal point for many businesses to reflect on their contribution to women’s progress in the workplace, and this year the event’s central message is Give to Gain.
It highlights how generosity – whether that’s providing women with opportunities, mentoring, training, resources or time – creates momentum for everyone’s progress. When we give support and visibility to women, the whole industry rises.
In this third annual special report, produced in partnership with Gleeds and published in the lead up to IWD, we speak to 12 inspiring women in built environment careers from across the world, in the hope their stories can inspire a faster shift in the sector.
Those profiled share their career journeys, the challenges they have faced and the triumphs they have achieved.
They come from a variety of countries, work in a range of businesses and a mix of roles.
