A new patient lifting system is the world’s first to be wall mounted
Danish mobility specialist Ergolet has brought out an overhead patient lifting system suitable for care homes and hospitals. The company said it was the world’s first wall mounted system, which allows it to reach all corners of a room. It also makes it suitable for rooms with suspended ceilings. The system is designed to be operated by one person and consists of two wall mounted tracks linked by an overhead bar. The company’s existing, motorised Luna lifting unit is attached to the bar and operated by a remote control. The system provides motorised lifting and lowering of up to 275kg, plus a forwards and backwards motion.
