This week’s sketch is by the team at Karthaus Design
This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Karthaus Design and was the team’s entry for a competition to design a fully accessible children’s viewing sculpture at Snape Maltings. Director Roland Karthaus said: “The site has a lot of water so our idea was to use the Victorian technology of a water-powered lift. It was a truly collaborative project, designed entirely through a three-way sketching conversation. Despite being well over budget, our hope was that if the judges liked it enough, we could find other funds to make it happen, but in the end we weren’t shortlisted.”
