The evolution of rural Scots culture has been given its own showcase at the Museum of Scottish Country Life in East Kilbride. Designed by architect Page & Park for the National Trust for Scotland, the 5000 m2 building includes a traditional slate roof, timber cladding and a concrete frame to give it the appearance of a working barn. The project team includes contractor Skanska, M&E engineer Harley Haddow, structural engineer Will Rudd Associates and QS Thomas & Adamson.
