Beazer Partnership Homes is hoping to add £60m to its turnover over three years as a result of a scheme to build pre-erected houses with three housing associations.

The Amphion Consortium, made up of associations from Hyde, Hastoe and Swale, has appointed Beazer preferred bidder to build 1000 new homes across the South-east. The programme will involve the prefabrication of panelled units in a bid to achieve higher-quality, zero-defect houses.

John Cadwallader, Beazer Group director for partnership, said the scheme would help the firm increase its market share in the South-east.

Ten other housing associations have expressed an interest in joining the consortium, which was set up to promote and facilitate innovation in housing design and construction.
