Woodpecker is this month launching a 150kW biomass boiler suitable for public and commercial buildings as well as housing associations.

The Woodpecker Thermon has an advanced design of water jacket which, says the company, results in greater heat-to-water transfer in the combustion area and an efficiency of more than 90%. The unit adopts a horizontal firing burner which means it has a lower height and more compact dimensions compared to upfiring or under stoker models. Its footprint measures 1,860mm x 1,630mm and its modular construction enables it to fit into spaces with limited room and access. It also features “fly by wire” control, allowing service engineers to remotely view, adjust and control its operation.
