DJ for £3m marina scheme
North Wales-based contractor DJ Construction has won a £3m contract for the construction of a marina basin and associated land reclamation works at the new £45m Deganwy Quay marina near Conwy.

Rydon regeneration plans
Contractor Rydon Construction, in partnership with Hyde Housing association, is to start a £20m regeneration project in Deptford.

Leisure work goes to Totty
Leisure group Whitbread has awarded contracts worth £5.3m to northern contractor Totty Construction. Totty will build two branches of Brewsters and add Travel Inn budget hotels to other existing Whitbread sites.

NG Bailey wins Mayfair project
M&E contractor NG Bailey has started work on a £3.5m design-and-build project in London's Mayfair. NG Bailey is working for contractor Costain on developer Burford Group's 68,000 ft2 office building.

HBG awarded Bristol work
Contractor HBG Construction has won a £10m project to build 12,500 m2 of retail and residential space for Bahraini developer Crown Dilmun in Clifton, Bristol.

Trauma unit goes to Bovis
Contractor Bovis Lend Lease Midland has won a £5m contract to build a high-tech trauma unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The company also has an existing £6m contract to refurbish and extend the hospital's A&E department.

YJL secures £2m-plus contracts
Contractor YJL London has won six contracts valued at more than £2m. The largest is a £900,000 conversion of a former garage to create a 200-place Happy Times Nursery for HTC Healthcare Group in Richmond.

Playfair project goes ahead
Work has started on the £26m Playfair project, which will refurbish the Royal Scottish Academy at Edinburgh's Castle Mound and create an underground link between it and the National Gallery.

Skanska wins £2m Tube job
Contractor Skanska has won a £2m London Underground track stabilisation contract. The contract is to restore Piccadilly line embankments between Boston Manor and Osterley stations in west London.
