Firm reports six month turnover of £65m

Doyle has experienced strong growth in turnover for the first six months of 2011 and has agreed a refinancing deal with its bank Lloyds TSB, the company has reported.

Doyle, which owns Ibex Interiors, John Doyle Construction and Blythewood Plant, has reported a six month turnover of £65m, and its order book for the remainder of the year indicates that the group is on target to achieve its budgeted turnover of £150m - almost double the £80m reported in 2010.

The results come after the Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire based group had tough trading years in both 2009 and 2010. The group has also recently implemented some senior management changes.

Chairman Stef Stefanou said: “We have witnessed a lot more activity in all our sectors of operation and the momentum of that has gathered some real pace since March. To us this feels like the beginning of the end of the recession with further evidence of this being how busy the architectural practices we deal with currently are.”

He added: “Our results so far in 2011 along with our stronger order book have helped us to renegotiate a better refinancing deal with our bank and that coupled with the efficiency changes we have made and a client added value initiative we have undertaken makes us feel very confident for the future.”
