Masterplanner EDAW and Latham Architects yesterday presented strategic proposals for the future of north-east Lincolnshire, which is part of the Yorkshire and Humber urban renaissance programme.
The main ideas that emerged from a four-month research and consultation period includes regeneration proposals for the seafront at Immingham and Cleethorpes and plans for a residential and leisure development around Grimsby docks.

Other plans are to create a mixed-use scheme around Grimsby town centre and an improved tram link system.

The proposals for north-east Lincolnshire, which cover the whole area, are set to be put to public consultation before the masterplan is finalised.

The urban renaissance programme was initiated by regeneration agency Yorkshire Forward.
