Disposal of NorAM brings total amount raised from sale of Johnston businesses to £26.64m.

Ennstone has completed the sale of the US arm of Johnston engineering division, NorAm Disposal Companies.

The completion of the £5.74m deal means that the sale of Johnston’s non-engineering businesses has raised £26.24m for raw material producer Ennstone.

Ennstone said the disposals would enable it to focus on core aggregates and value added product properties. The sale of NorAM was the last of the disposals relating to Johnston Engineering, which Ennstone acquired in November.

Ennstone chairman Vaughan McLeod said: “The programme has been concluded in a short time frame, and has achieved an excellent price. A great result.”
