Goose left Ferrovial last year after more than 25 years at the firm to take up the chief executive’s role at Keltbray.

But Keltbray announced last week that Goose had stepped down after just six months in the post.

In its last set of results the UK arm of Ferrovial, which is overseeing design and construction of track along the HS2 route in a joint venture with Bam Nuttall, saw pre-tax profit rise 79% to £25m on turnover up flat at £498m.
