The Energy Saving Trust (EST) has recognised the Zenex GasSaver under its recommended scheme of products that can reduce energy consumption.
The GasSaver is a device that fits above the boiler and recovers heat from the flue gases. It effectively condenses the steam in the gases and preheats the incoming cold main.
The EST regulations require the product to be used with SEDBUK A-rated boilers, to be formally recognised under the government’s Standard Assessment Procedure appendix Q for dwellings as a passive flue gas heat recovery device, to provide an average domestic hot water energy saving of at least 17%, and to be formally approved by CE certification.
