Fresh funding boost for new Bradford train station

Money will be spent on masterplanning for revived scheme

The Department for Transport has announced £400,000 of new funding to kickstart master planning for a new railway station in Bradford.

A new station for the West Yorkshire has long been mooted as part of the Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) scheme and received firm government backing last month when the prime minister announced regional transport schemes to replace HS2 spending cuts.
