Galliford Try’s Morrison Consortium is preferred bidder on PPP contract at the Community Hospital and Health Centre in St Andrews, Fife

NHS Fife has appointed Galliford Try’s Morrison Consortium as preferred bidder for a £25m PPP contract to build and operate a new community hospital.

The Morrison consortium is made up of equity partner Galliford Try Investments, Morrison Construction, part of Galliford Try’s building division and Morrison Facilities Services.

The Community Hospital and Health centre in St Andrews, Fife, will cover 10,700m sq and seven acres of land. It will include three GP practices, a 40-bed diagnostic and treatment centre and an improved day surgery unit.

Financial close is due in autumn 2007 and the hospital is expected to open in March 2009.
