Job to finish in 2022

Graham has won a £130m contract to build a 1,480-bed student accommodation project for the University of York.

The contractor, with 23 regional offices in the UK and Ireland, is also an investor in the scheme along with specialist infrastructure fund manager Equitix.

Designed by Sheppard Robson, the job will be ready in time for the start of the 2022 academic year.

The wider project team includes structural and civil engineer Cundall, M&E engineer RPS and landscape architect Landscape Projects.

The university said the scheme will reduce its reliance on accommodation for its students in the city centre.
