The 6900 m2 structure will cater for a forecast 30% increase in air traffic over the next 25 years, and provide enhanced facilities for up to 1.25 million passengers a year. The terminal has curved facades, curved roofs and shaped overhanging eaves. Internally, a curved 115 m timber-clad bulkhead is a visual reference to the underside of an aircraft. Glazing was provided by Technal.
