Firm appoints Balfour Beatty Rail director to lead construction division
The managing director of ISG’s UK construction business has left the firm.
Documents filed at Companies House show Craig Tatton, ISG construction managing director, will be replaced by Balfour Beatty’s former rail director Alan McCarthy-Wyper.
In its latest set of interim results, for the six months to 31 December 2012, the firm’s UK construction arm reported a margin of just 0.2%.
Although revenue grew 18% to £280m it reported a pre-tax profit of £700,000. But this was an improvement from the £518,000 loss it reported for the same period of 2011.
The firm is currently in the running to do the £100m conversion of the London Olympic stadium for legacy use.
Last month, the firm won a multi-million pound contract to fit out the St Botolph Building in Shoreditch, east London, for insurance firm Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
