Contractor has signed a ten year deal with Barnet Homes

Affordable housing contractor Lovell has won a ten year refurbishment deal worth £103m with Barnet Homes.

The Morgan Sindall subsidiary will provide refurbishment and electrical works across Barnet Home’s portfolio of 15,000 homes, which it manages for Barnet council.

Work is due to commence in April 2012.

Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall, said: “This is another important win for Lovell that builds on the response maintenance work we acquired as part of the acquisition from the administrators of Connaught.

“Today’s announcement underlines our leading position in affordable housing. Lovell’s full service offering will mean we can deliver the highest quality upgrade and response maintenance work to the Barnet council housing stock.”
