Start-up consultant specialising in retail sector forecasts strong fourth year of trading

Start-up consultant MAC Construction Consultants is on course to more than double in size to £3.7m turnover this year in its fourth year of trading, its co-founders have told Building.

MAC is a project and cost management consultant, founded by Giles Witheat and Andy Nunn (pictured) in May 2010.

It is forecast to grow over 120% to £3.7m revenue in the current financial year to 31st May 2014, up from £1.7m in the last full financial year, itself an increase of 91% on £870,000 turnover the previous year.

The firm, which is now 39-strong, is set to make a 12% profit this year, the founders said. They expect to reach £10m turnover within seven years.

MAC specialises in the retail sector – which accounts for 60% of turnover and clients including large FTSE 100 retailers – and also focuses on the commercial, education, heritage and mixed-use sectors.

The firm has offices in London, Leeds, Bristol and Harpenden.
