Scheme at 60 Queen Victoria Street due to finish next year
Mace has been confirmed for a £70m scheme to revamp a 1990s building in the City of London designed by the late Peter Foggo.
The makeover of the building at 60 Victoria Street has been drawn up by Sheppard Robson which was given the green light for its plans by the City two years ago.
Development manager M3 Consulting said the new designs will retain the architectural character of the existing building while substantially improving its environmental performance and occupier experience.

It added: “This scheme will transform an iconic existing building into an innovative user-focused workspace. We’re targeting up to 33% less embodied carbon than a full rebuild while still delivering best-in-class modern upgrades.”

John F Hunt has been carrying out demolition and enabling work at the site since last year with Mace due to begin work on the job, also known as the Mint Building, in the coming months. Work is scheduled to finish by the end of next year.
Others working on the scheme include QS Exigere, project manager CBFRE and M&E engineer Cundall.
