Museum reopens after £3m refurbishment

Maidstone Museum has reopened this week after a £3m refurbishment and extension by Hugh Broughton Architects. The original Grade II-listed Victorian building has been joined by a new 470m² wing clad in gold ‘shingles’. Morgan Sindall was main contractor on the project with AECOM providing consultant engineering services.
