After much speculation ailing contractor Mowlem reveals it is in talks with mystery buyer.
Contractor Mowlem has received an offer from a mystery bidder to buy the company, following recent speculation about its future.
Mowlem said today: “The Board of Mowlem plc notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms that it has received a preliminary approach which may or may not lead to an offer for Mowlem. The Board, which is being advised by Rothschild, wishes to stress that discussions are at a very early stage and there can be no certainty that this approach will lead to an offer for Mowlem.”
Building reported recently that French giant Vinci was contemplating a bid in the New Year. It is unclear at present if Vinci has submitted a bid.
