Prince Charles pitted his bricklaying skills against young would-be brickies during last November's SkillCity Show in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester.
The Prince spent 10 minutes laying bricks and talking to his competitors.

Another highlight of the show, which was attended by more than 70,000 people, was the award of the Hanson Brick Young Bricklayer of the Year award after a gruelling 21-hour contest. The winner was Richard Kavanagh, 21, an apprentice at Warwickshire College.

The SkillCity exhibition is designed to showcase the importance of skills to corporate Britain, government departments and the world of education and training.
