NSG acquires £3.5m-turnover rival

Scaffolding giant NSG has bought £3.5m-turnover Midlands-based rival MTD.

Following the buyout, MTD’s managing director Tracey Hutton will continue to manage the business and its 60 employees.

NSG said in a statement that the acquisition was part of an expansion strategy put in place after it was taken over by French firm Altrad in June last year.

NSG UK Managing Director Mike Carr said: “This is a great acquisition for NSG as it complements the existing core skills and offers expansion opportunities to provide access for social housing.

“This forms part of the strategy plan that NSG put in place when we joined the Altrad Group last year.”
