Regional contractor says 98% of this year’s workload already in bag
Regional contractor Speller Metcalfe posted improved pre-tax profit in its latest set of accounts filed at Companies House.
The Worcestershire-based firm said pre-tax profit was up 48% to £5m for the year to March on turnover down 2% to £159m.

In the accounts, which were signed off last week, the firm said: “Entering the next 12 months the Group has secured 98% of its budgeted workload for the forthcoming financial year through a combination of contracted projects and formal pre-construction agreements, providing strong visibility of future revenues.”
Speller Metcalfe said year-end cash was up 5% to £25m.
