Multidisciplinary practice Arup has submitted a planning application for the £32m mixed-use redevelopment of Bermondsey Square, south of London's Tower Bridge, on behalf of developer Urban Catalyst.
The 11,300 m2 development combines shops, offices, 45 flats and two public spaces, one of which will accommodate an open-air antiques market. The naturally ventilated buildings are designed for minimum disturbance to the archeological remains of an ancient abbey. Mace is project manager, with DTZ as development consultant and Gleeds as cost consultant.
