Workers on Terminal 5 record two million hours since last reportable accident
The 7500-strong workforce at Heathrow's Terminal 5 has achieved its best level of health and safety since work started on the project.
The site has reached two million man-hours since June 12 without a reportable accident for the first time.
Just three weeks ago, the same team were enjoying reaching the million man hours target for the sixth time.
Mike Evans, T5 head of health and safety said: “This achievement is just reward for the effort that everyone working on Terminal 5 has put in to making this the safest construction site in the UK. I hope everyone feels proud of what has been achieved, we are setting new standards across the construction industry.”
