Taylor Woodrow has announced that it will head into the second half of 2006 with 10% more plots than it had in December 2005.

In its trading update, the company announced that it had a landbank of 38,498 plots in the UK.

The company also reported that, despite margins still coming under some pressure, it has achieved an increase of 5% in net reservations compared with 2005. Its order book now stands at £649m, 8% higher than in June last year.

Taylor Woodrow’s North American arm is expected to deliver a record first half performance with home selling prices seeing a 10% rise and it’s operating margin soaring 17.5% since 2005.

The company’s Spanish branch continues to do well, maintaining similar performance levels to last year.

Overall, the company predicts that it’s interim results, due to be announced on 3 August, will be in line with expectations.
