Tesco is reworking plans for a district centre in Bromley-by-Bow, east London, after Cabe criticised them

The proposed scheme, by architect ColladoCollins, includes an 80,000ft2 superstore, a primary school, a hotel and 460 new homes. In a letter to the planning authority, Cabe expressed unhappiness at Tesco’s influence on the masterplan and said the site layout was “incoherent and piecemeal”. A Tesco spokesperson said it welcomed the feedback and was revising the plans.
