Deal worth up to £700m and set to run for six years
Three firms are understood to have won places on a Transport for London framework that will include carrying out upgrade work to South Kensington and Elephant & Castle tube stations.
The infrastructure improvement framework was advertised last June with the estimated total value of work covered by the deal priced at between £500m and £700m.
Building understands that Amey, Costain and Dragados have made it onto the framework which is due to run for up to six years.

It will include £200m of step-free access work while notable other deals include the £80m upgrade of South Kensington tube station which has been designed by RSHP.
Work at the grade II-listed station will include putting in step-free access and adding a new platform.
The scheme is being developed by TfL, Native Land and TfL’s development arm Places for London.
So-called around station development work, which includes restoring the station’s historic shopping arcade and adjoining Thurloe Street retail units and building 50 homes, is due to start later this year.
Dragados is already on site at Elephant & Castle building new passenger tunnels with footfall at the station expected to rise by 25% and 40% by 2041.
TfL has been contacted for comment.
