Two contractors have been appointed to a £100m regional construction framework for public sector procurement organisation Scape

Scape said G F Tomlinson and Jeakins Weir have been awarded places on the framework, which runs for a total of four years from January 2014.

The £100m framework for the East Midlands Property Alliance (Empa), which is managed by Scape, is for for contracts valued between £50k and £2M.

The appointment comes after Scape picked Wates for the sole contractor role on its £133m Empa framework for small to medium-sized projects between £50k and £7.5m.

G F Tomlinson’s contract will cover the northern area of the region, including Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

This share of the contract has a total value of £68m.

Jeakins Weir’s contract will cover the southern area of the region, including Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Rutland - and Warwickshire, Coventry, Solihull and Peterborough, which also form part of the framework.

This share of the contract has a total value of £32m.
