This dramatic apartment block in Austria managed to incorporate cantilever balconies with some interesting technology

Architect Rüdiger Lainer has designed this apartment block in Vienna.

The large protruding cantilever balconies were made possible by incorporating Schöck Isokorb® thermal break modules throughout.

The modules provide thermal insulation properties reducing any thermal energy loss, while also transfering load and maintaining full structural integrity.

Schöck, whose headquarters are in Baden-Baden in southern Germany, is a supplier of structural load bearing insulation products.
