Four new marinas to be built on Yas Island in time for Formula 1 Grand Prix
Aldar Properties wants to build about 3,500 yacht berths in 14 marinas across Abu Dhabi. The developer's Aldar Marinas subsidiary is behind the plans, which will see four new marinas up and running on Yas Island. This November, the island will play host to a Formula 1 motor racing Grand Prix.
The Yas Cays Marinas will provide berthing facilities for nearly 1,000 boats. As the event is expected to attract the mega-rich, berths must be able to accommodate vessels of up to 66 metres.
