Bam Construction has won the job to build a £35.5m sports centre in Huddersfield
The project, for Kirklees council, is set to include a wave machine, a flume, a teaching pool, two large sports halls, a squash court, a fitness suite and a climbing wall.
The current Huddersfield Sports Centre will be demolished and supermarket company Tesco will build a new store at the existing Old Leeds Road site.
BAM construction will begin work on the site at the Spring Grove Car Park in Springwood early next year with completion expected by 2015.
