The exterior of this steel-framed building, designed by Wojciech Kakowski, will be in laser-cut plywood

Buro Happold has been appointed structural and service engineer on the Polish Pavilion for the Shanghai Expo 2010.

Designed by Wojciech Kakowski, Marcin Mostafa and Natalia Paszkowska the exterior is inspired by Polish folk art. The steel-framed building will be made from laser-cut plywood, and the interior will be illuminated at night.
